Zumba Fitness – Can you lose weight?

Are you looking for a good way to lose weight and have fun? I am sure you have heard of Zumba, as this is the newest dance / fitness craze, but does it actually work?
My girlfriend tried it and had some great results. She first thought that it would be great to try Zumba so she went to a Zumba class. She came back and said it looked like a tonne of fun, but she had no idea what to do and kind of felt a bit silly. She still wanted to go to the classes but wanted to try it at home and get used to it first. She ended up buying some Zumba dvd’s, and this gave her the confidence to go to the classes. What is ZumbaZumba is a great way to get in shape and have fun on your own, or with a group. One of the catch phrases they use is get the workout, join the party! So what is Zumba? It is a dance / fitness program that incorporates latin style music and upbeat dancing to cool dance moves. This moving is high energy and will work your cardio.
All the moving will work your large muscles, and smaller muscled. This will help you lose weight and also get really toned looking
Why start with Zumba DVD’s?If you want to get into something new then it is a good idea to practice first. Using the DVD’s will give you the confidence to go to the class and do the exercises and dance moves just like everyone else.
What is the Best Zumba DVDThere are a number of Zumba dvd’s and cd’s available. You can also get zumba video games for xbox and nintendo wii which is pretty cool. My girlfriend LOVES the Zumba dvd she got, it comes with 4 dvd’s and the Zumba workout sticks. She uses the dvd’s quite a bit and also goes to classes. She even has her friends over and they workout together (when I am out playing hockey) I included the link to the site where she got the dvd’s below.

I really want to lose some weight. So I have achoice of going to a fitness class or joining Dance classes because since as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a dancer and I’m already 13 so I should wait any longer. What should I join because I honestly don’t know.
